Dr. Anindita Bhattacharya

M.Phil in Clinical Psychology (RINPAS) and Ph.D in Clinical Psychology (NIMHANS, Bangalore)

Dr. Bhattacharya is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 11 years of teaching and therapeutic experience. She has designed and facilitated various workshops and sessions around mental health and well-being. She has a keen interest in promotion and prevention of mental health, personal growth, positive psychology and youth development.

She has a PhD from National Institute of Mental health and Neurosciences in Positive Psychology. She has also done a course on Leadership in Mental Health from Sangath and has been recently trained in Narrative Therapy from Children First and Dulwich Center, Australia.

She was an assistant professor at the Azim Premji University for eight years and helped establish the mental health and well-being centre (MindSpace) at the school of Arts and Sciences. She was coordinating the work of the centre and teaching a variety of courses on Psychology. She has also been consulting with IISC and NCBS to strengthen their mental health and well-being centres. She is also a trainer with iCall and TISS, Mumbai currently and teaches a module on ‘Promotion of Mental health’ for the Sheyogi fellowship training.

She has recently started her own freelance practice and is also associated with Narayana Health, Bangalore and Modern health, U.S.A as a consultant. Her therapeutic style is an amalgamation of humanistic, existential, and narrative practices. She believes in a collaborative approach and helps her clients identify their core values and skills to move towards healing and away from a problematic narrative.
